About This Trip

This is an 8 Day / 7 Night mission trip to Honduras.
This team will visit Jubilee Centers International.

Join Orphan Outreach and 121 Community Church in serving children and families at Jubilee Centers International, a Christian school that has been a light in the slum community of La Era since 2009. This trip is also open to individuals from across the U.S. The team will celebrate Mother's Day with a local church and also honor mothers whose students attend Jubilee, encouraging and loving on them, while spending the weekdays ministering at Jubilee through Bible programs, teaching and encouraging the teachers and staff.

About Honduras

Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Latin America and nearly two thirds of the nation's population lives below the poverty line. UNICEF estimates there are over 170,000 orphans in Honduras. Orphan Outreach ministers in Honduras by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations.

Team Leader

Bob Beams, volunteer trip leader & Orphan Outreach board member

Bob serves on the leadership team at 121 Community Church and is a faithful volunteer and supporter of Orphan Outreach. He is the president of Beams Land Investments in Fort Worth, Texas. After studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters degree in social work from University of Texas at Arlington, Bob worked as a social worker for eight years. His work for the State of Texas focused on child protective services and family support programs. In 1975, he began a career in real estate development with a specialty in rural subdivisions. Throughout his career, Bob has served as a volunteer in family service programs in the community. Several times each year, since 1990, Bob has led mission trips to Mexico and Central America with his church and has been involved with Orphan Outreach in its work in Honduras since it began in 2007.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
