Kenya Medical & Individuals Trip

Tuesday, July 09, 2019 to Friday, July 19, 2019
$2950 per person* + International Airfare**

[Mission Code: KE19-07MED]

About This Trip

This is an 11 Day / 10 Night mission trip to Kenya.
This team will visit ACK Madeleine School, Patmos Junior School.

Join Orphan Outreach in serving children in both ACK Madeleine School and Patmos Junior School in Kenya. Both medical professionals and non-medical individuals are needed and welcome to apply! This team will conduct a medical clinic as well as serve through children's ministry at both schools.

The children we will serve come from unspeakable conditions; the victims of gross poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

At the end of the trip, the team will experience Kenya's rich African culture by spending two days on safari at the Masai Mara Game Camp. Nairobi is known as the safari capital of the world and any trip to Africa would not be complete without experiencing the vast wildlife up close. Team members will fly on a short flight to Masai Mara and enjoy an evening and morning photo safari.

About Kenya

Kenya has a culture born of countless sources. This region has been crossed by the paths of a long and complex history. From the prehistoric records of early man to the present day, Kenya has been a land of unending change, contrasts and diversity.

Kenya lies astride the equator on the eastern coast of Africa. It is a medium-sized country by continental standards, covering an area of about 586,600km sq. Inland water bodies cover some 10,700km sq, the bulk of this in Lakes Victoria and Turkana.

Kenya has tremendous topographical diversity, including glaciated mountains with snow-capped peaks, the Rift Valley with its scarps and volcanoes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes and coral reefs and islets.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
