About This Trip

This is an 11 Day / 10 Night mission trip to Kenya.
This team will visit ACK Madeleine School.

Join Orphan Outreach in serving children in western Kenya.

The children we will serve come from unspeakable conditions; the victims of gross poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This team will be serving through Bible programming, a medical clinic, health education, and meeting needs that may arise for the students and staff at Madeleine School.

This trip is open to individuals from around the U.S., both non-medical people and medical professionals.

Finally, the team will experience Kenya's rich African culture by spending two days on safari in the Rift Valley. Kenya is known as the safari capital of the world and any trip to Africa would not be complete without experiencing the vast wildlife up close.

No Safari Option: If you would like to opt out of the safari trip and leave Kenya two days early, please email missions@orphanoutreach.org. The trip dates (including travel) would be July 27 to August 4, and there would be a reduced trip cost.

About Kenya

Kenya has a culture born of countless sources. This region has been crossed by the paths of a long and complex history. From the prehistoric records of early man to the present day, Kenya has been a land of unending change, contrasts and diversity.

Kenya lies astride the equator on the eastern coast of Africa. It is a medium-sized country by continental standards, covering an area of about 586,600km sq. Inland water bodies cover some 10,700km sq, the bulk of this in Lakes Victoria and Turkana.

Kenya has tremendous topographical diversity, including glaciated mountains with snow-capped peaks, the Rift Valley with its scarps and volcanoes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes and coral reefs and islets.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
