About This Trip

This is an 13 Day / 12 Night mission trip to India.
This team will visit Gan Sabra HIV Home & Community program.

Join Orphan Outreach in serving children and families in Northeast India in the state of Mizoram where Orphan Outreach partners with Gan Sabra HIV/AIDS Home and the ministry's community-based program. This team will spend the week at Gan Sabra, loving on and teaching about the love of Christ and helping encourage the staff who faithfully care for the kids. The team will also have the opportunity to minister to Gan Sabra's non-residential program that supports families that are affected by HIV/AIDS. Come be the hands and feet of Christ by sharing His love and grace!

Optional early departure: If you would like to opt out of the Taj Mahal tour, you can depart 2 days early and arrive home on January 6, 2018. Please email missions@orphanoutreach.org if you would like to opt out of the Taj and return home early.

About India

India is facing an accelerating threat from HIV, with more people infected with HIV than any other country in the world. The number of children in India orphaned by AIDS is approaching two million, according to UN estimates. The impacts of the AIDS crisis have not begun to emerge fully in India, and AIDS-related orphaning is not yet occurring at a large scale. Yet, India has the largest number of AIDS orphans of any country in the world. This number is expected to more than double in five years, and the proportion of orphaned children will remain exceptionally high until 2020 or 2030.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

Please note that all mission trip participants will need to cover the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. Typically, your 1st checked bag is $25-40 and your 2nd bag is approximately $40-100, one way, depending on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

To save the cost of having to pay for the 2nd bag on the return flight home you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
