About This Trip

This is an 9 Day / 8 Night mission trip to India.
This team will visit Jeevan Anand Girls Home.

Join Orphan Outreach and North Community Church, Fort Worth in serving the girls and community of Anand, India. This team will spend quality time with the girls after school, building relationships and teaching from the Bible, as well as minister to families and churches in the local community.

About India

India is facing an accelerating threat from HIV, with more people infected with HIV than any other country in the world. The number of children in India orphaned by AIDS is approaching two million, according to UN estimates. The impacts of the AIDS crisis have not begun to emerge fully in India, and AIDS-related orphaning is not yet occurring at a large scale. Yet, India has the largest number of AIDS orphans of any country in the world. This number is expected to more than double in five years, and the proportion of orphaned children will remain exceptionally high until 2020 or 2030.

Team Leader

Ricky Cotto, Ministry Volunteer

Ricky lives, works, plays, and prays with his wife Rachel and daughter Elaina in Fort Worth, Texas. Ricky is the Faith Based Manager for Blue Zones Project Fort Worth and is also the Associate Pastor of North Community Church located in the Riverside area. In 2012, a friend invited Ricky to India to visit the Jeevan Anand Home for girls. Five years later, these girls are no longer orphans but have become distant family. Ricky has been leading teams to India with Orphan Outreach since 2014 and has actively engaged his local church and community to also get involved.

The team will stay in hotels close to the ministry sites. The land cost is based on double-occupancy rooms with bathrooms. If you would like to have your own room, there will be an additional cost and please email missions@orphanoutreach.org.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

Please note that all mission trip participants will need to cover the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. Typically, your 1st checked bag is $25-40 and your 2nd bag is approximately $40-100, one way, depending on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

To save the cost of having to pay for the 2nd bag on the return flight home you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
