About This Trip

This is an 9 Day / 8 Night mission trip to Guatemala.
This team will visit Santiago.

Join Orphan Outreach and a team of individuals and medical professionals in serving the community of Santiago in the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala. Join us as we return to Santiago for a 4-day medical clinic. Physicians, Physicians Assistants, Nurses and all medical professionals are needed to make this trip a success! In addition, non-medical professionals with a passion for children and sharing the gospel will provide support and evangelism to the more than 900 people that visit the clinic while in Santiago. This team will also be raising funds for medications that are needed for the clinics. If you would like to donate funds to purchase those medications, please click the donation tab at the top right of this page or contact us by email at missions@orphanoutreach.org.

About Guatemala

UNICEF estimates that are over 370,000 orphans in Guatemala. Many of these children come from families facing extreme poverty; 70 percent of people in Guatemala live below the poverty level. Orphan Outreach ministers in Guatemala by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations. We also make it a priority to come alongside the Guatemalan nationals and work with them as they serve their own people.

Team Leader

Heather Cooper, Ministry Volunteer

Heather is honored to be able to use the gift of medicine and has served on international mission teams for 23 years including trips to Mexico, Honduras, Kenya, India, Nepal, and South Africa. Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
