About This Trip

This is an 8 Day / 7 Night mission trip to Guatemala.
This team will visit This team will visit Santiago, Cerro de Oro (Lake Atitlan area), Chimaltenagno & Antigua area..

Join Orphan Outreach in serving children in Guatemala. This trip is open to KVNE station listeners in the Tyler/east Texas area. This team will visit vulnerable children and share God's love with them. In the community of Cerro de Oro, on beautiful Lake Atitlan, participants will do "hands on" projects to make a difference for the children by installing clean stoves. The team will also spend time with the families in the Antigua area. This is a great first time short term trip. Guatemala is a short three hour direct flight from DFW airport but the needs you will experience are a world apart. Most people raise their support for international mission trips, so don't let finances stand in the way of joining in on what God is doing in Guatemala. About Guatemala

UNICEF estimates that are over 370,000 orphans in Guatemala. Many of these children come from families facing extreme poverty; 70 percent of people in Guatemala live below the poverty level. Orphan Outreach ministers in Guatemala by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations. We also make it a priority to come alongside the Guatemalan nationals and work with them as they serve their own people.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
